Each video is followed by a moderated discussion with a biologist. Each video plus the discussion falls within the time slot indicated below. You do not need to watch all of the videos to follow along. You can jump in and catch any of the videos that fit your schedule.

Darwin Day activities at the Discovery Science Place* (10am - 4pm)

Location: Discovery Science Place: 308 N. Broadway Ave., Tyler, TX  75702

Activites will include a booth with university student volunteers, videos about the diversity and evolution of life, and interactive displays

*Museum admission is required at the Discovery Science Place


K-12 STEM Teacher Workshop at Tyler Junior College (8:45am - 3pm)

Location: Tyler Junior College, Room 222, Genecov Science Building 1327 S Baxter Ave., Tyler, TX  75701

Events Details: TBA

Activites will include standards–aligned activities on evolutionary biology that can be deployed in the classroom and help with studetn success in biology. Registration required. Contact Dr. Betsy Ott (bott@tjc.edu) for more information. Last-minute registrations will be accommodated as long as space is available.
Activities are appropriate for K – 12 STEM teachers on teaching evolutionary biology in the classroom. 
Workshop is offered free of charge. Breakfast and lunch will be provided
Workshops provide 5 hours of TEA continuing eduction credits to teachers. Workshops are also open to future teachers (education majors in college/university)
